Fred Falke is one of the greatest house producers in France and is well known all over the world. He started his career as a bass player around 1995 playing in various bands before starting his own production work in the late 90′s.
Since then Fred has produced some of house music’s most memorable records over the last few years including his collaboration with Alan Braxe on ”Intro” which achieved worldwide chart success and is remembered as one of the biggest dance anthems of the generation.
He then followed that up with ‘Rubicon’, another collab withBraxe, and with the success of his own records, demand for Fred’s unique style went through the roof. He has since gone on to remix the likes of Jamiroquai, Kelis, Hot Chip and Goldfrapp.

He released an amazing 4 track EP back in March called “Music For My Friends” which he describes here…
“I wanted to release an EP with 4 different moods, so everyone can find something he likes with this EP. Some of my friends like cool house stuff and some others prefer hard stuff, so I decided to do music for my friends with cool and hard stuff!”
POOR RIGHTEOUS TEACHERS – WORD IZ LIFE
P.R.T. were kinda the precursor to Dead Prez, militant and wise beyond their years but at the same time funky as all hell. Wise Intelligent had the razor sharp wit & word play that you just can’t fuck with. Their other albums are great but this one has to be the best. There’s a track with KRS and another with the Fugees and both live up to the expectations. Word Iz Life though, is the star of the show, with it’s laid back island like vibe and neck snapping boom bap.
Fly Guy Kool Kim, one half of the fun loving 90′s duo The UMC’S has to be one of my favorite lyricists to ever ride a beat. Yeah he may not have been the best but he had crazy flow. His story of a fallen friend coupled with those horns is indestructible. I wanna know where those horns are sampled from. Anyone out there wanna help me out?
“24-year-old Angel Pantoja Medina of Puerto Rico apparently told his family that when he passes away, he wants to stand upright through his wake. Well, his family granted his wish. Dressed in a Yankees cap, sunglasses and a gold chain, Angel was mourned by family members while standing tall in his mother’s living room for 3 days.
The funeral home told The Associated Press that they used a special embalming treatment to keep him standing. His brother said, “He wanted to be happy, standing.”
The police are currently investigating Angel’s death. His body was found underneath a bridge last Friday.”
Pittsburgh is a great town> It gets a bad rap, but it’s a fun, beautiful place full of nice people. Last weekend, N.A.S.A. staged a full on takeover of that city with our all-powerful cosmic posse.
We played the New American Union Festival, put together by a new friend, Anthony Kiedis, a great dude>> We played along side The Roots, Gnarls Barkley, The Black Keys, and Bob Dylan to name a few>> It was super dope and positive vibes> You can check out the full lineup HERE.
Me and Ze prepared all remixes for the show, and played a bunch of new N.A.S.A. Remixes too. Make sure to check out the LA Riots remix of “N.A.S.A. Music” featuring Method Man and E-40 at the very end of our set. You can download the entire thing below…
The festival, unfortunately, did not have a jumbotron, so we couldn’t debut our crazy visuals that we’ve been Frankensteining together for the past few months, instead we decided to bring the galaxy’s finest dance crew to come and perform with us>
Those two foxy aliens are our Martian mistresses, dudes in blue are our astro gators, and the lizard/gorilla creature was a specimen that we picked up on the planet Zectar for DNA study, who turned out to have a knack for the ladies.
Afterwards, some new super fun Pittsburgh homies took me out to a Halloween themed bar and a bar where there is a midget that sleeps on a shelf above the bar, and when they ring a bell he comes down and pours shots down peoples throats>
I’ve never seen so many football jerseys in my life. That is a dedicated city>> Almost everyone was rocking their Steelers jersey everywhere we went>
“A mystery to most, Darondo records are high on the wants-lists of many collectors. He is spoken about in hushed-tones by other Bay Area musicians. Back in the day he was seen cruising around town in a white Rolls Royce (with a “Darondo” license plate). He opened-up for James Brown and lived a colorful lifestyle hanging with folks like the notorious Fillmore Slim. Take a listen to these tracks, released for the first time together on an album, and you may agree that he could have been the next Al Green or Sly Stone. But about 25 years ago Darondo disappeared.“
It’s been fun going through all of my old mashups / remixes and edits to post them up on here. Here’s a classic N.A.S.A. mashup>> Two songs that changed the game. “House of Jealous Lovers” by The Rapture and “Bump” by Spank Rock. We always make mashups / remixes for every set, and we rocked this one at South By Southwest 2006>
| DJ MARK THE 45 KING |
Ooooohhhh this is HOT! The man Funkmaster Flex used to shout that out all over his classic mixtapes and most especially when he’d drop “The 900 Number” by DJ Mark The 45 King. The beat, as you know, is ridiculous and causes mass hysteria whenever it’s dropped in whatever form it’s dropped.

I’m dying over here, can’t stop laughing. This is a couple years old but I hadn’t seen it so I thought I’d share…The story goes that Dan Deacon was tripping on acid and locked himself in a closet with a portable recorder. Years later, his boy Liam Lynch of “United States of Whatever” fame discovered the gold and felt it needed some stream of consciousness visuals to match the wiseacre snaps of the audio. The result is pure magic.
