HIP HOP TWOSDAYS: EDO.G

Going back to Boston for this one.
Ed O.G. aka Edo.G has been a staple in
"The Bean" for a long minute now and in some circles is considered a living legend. He came out with "Like Of A Kid In The Ghetto" back in 1991 which produced a couple of classics in
"Be A Father To Your Child" and
"Got To Have It".
This right here is an album track which hilariously depicts the life of a single man
"trying to make it with the ladies in the '90's" over top the same slick ass sample Gang Starr used in "Love Sick".
ED O.G. - GOTTA HAVE MONEY

After that first album Ed O.G. became Edo.G and took a far more considerably underground approach from there on out. He collaborated with DJ Premier and did an entire album with Pete Rock.
I remember hearing a bunch of his tracks killing it on the local 88.9 @ Night on WERS while chillin' in my room reading The Source. Ahhh the glory days.
