What ever happened to
Cody ChesnuTT?!? He was killing it back in the early part of this decade but has since vanished from the public eye. His self produced
"Headphone Masterpiece" is top notch, front porch soul and his guest duties on the legendary
Roots crew's "Seed 2.0" from their classic album, Phrenology, was and still is phenomenal.
Fast forward to the two thousand and nine and remixer extraordinaire,
Don Diablo, has infused the track with some funky electronic lava while successfully maintaining the integrity of the original. Bass warbles, strings, synth stabs, and ill drum breakdowns are abound to help reinvigorate this perfect for the summer jam. Best part is Diablo cuts out all the other vocalists to let Cody shine on his own which is perfectly fine with me. Enjoy!
