Oh man this thing is a pure unadulterated synth nerd orgasm in your undies.  I remember back in high school my brother coming back from the local public library’s “yard sale” with this gem of an LP.  As soon as that needle hit the groove our faces started to melt like Velveeta in the microwave.

It’s continuous and relentless moog maddening mastery of The Beatles classics makes for a lifetime’s (or at least a hazy afternoon’s) worth of glee, joy and over zealous aspirations of musical wonder.

It was released in 1974 domestically on Island Records and released in Canada on Mushroom Records two years later in 1976 (the version we had).

There’s a bunch of these floating around and while they’re all BOSS, I like these two Pilooski and Parrish remixes the best for their brave and successful departure from the original into something delightfully different.  Muah!
