Time to take a lil' trip back to the early part of the decade and revisit a modern classic.
Basement Jaxx's 2001 effort, Rooty, built upon the big time success of their previous album, Remedy, with a whopping 5 major singles (2 of which I've included below) that set dance floors ablaze the world wide over.
Most impressive to me is the Jaxx's consistently crazy album cover artwork (which I think they reached the zenith on with Rooty) and have continued the trend with their new album "Scars" that just hit the shelves in the U.K. and soon enough here in the U.S. Scoop that up and be sure to try and catch them on their current DJ set tour...
You need this in your life. The remarkable dudes over at Leftside Wobble have recently finished up a super cool edit of the classic Beatles track "Tomorrow Never Knows".
Not only did they rock the edit but they also whipped up a video to go along with it using an obscure promotional cartoon from 1967.
Devin's that dude! Without a doubt the coolest, most laid back everyman of hip hop. These two fine fine funk dippin', mojo sippin' ditties are off his seminal debut, Just Tryin' Ta Live.
Both are creative and thoughtful odes to two different worthwhile loves in his life; his beat up hooptie and his sack o' brocolli (well actually it's all about the pitfalls of buying into fame with a down n' dirty groove provided by DJ Premier (Fun Fact!) but I digress...Enjoy!)

Super positive Squeak E. Clean homie, Dallas Clayton (who runs the previously reported "We Love You So" blog), has done something really awesome. He made a book all about dreaming big and following all of your wildest hopes and aspirations.
Best part about it is with every book sold, Dallas is giving away a book to someone who needs it. Check out the video for the whole scoop.
Where The Wild Things Are is gaining steam and anticipation is rising quick and furious all around the globe (especially here in L.A. with billboards, character posters, and bus benches dotting the city proper) with the theatrical release less than a month away.
To celebrate the occasion, Urban Outfitters Space 1520 opened their doors to reveal an amazing Wild Things pop up shop this past Saturday. The shop featured Wild Things costumes (like the one pictured above) designed by Christian Joy, Wild Things merchandise, a killer DJ set by Kid Lightning and all sorts of other good stuff. 'Twas a great time!
Make sure and check out the great great blog "We Love You So" in the coming weeks and beyond as they "will have a lot of great WTWTA related tidbits for you as well as updates on all of the screenings, parties, giveaways and generally rad stuff that will be happening in the lead up to the launch."

C'mon now, make it stop 2009. Seriously, it's getting out of hand.
"Grand Master" Roc Raida, 1/4 of the legendary X-Men aka X-Ecutioners, was without a doubt one of the best to ever touch a piece of wax, not to mention obliterate it in the process.
There are a bunch of videos floating around showcasing his amazing talent but I liked this one the best b/c it has both his timeless classic Sucker MC's and Push It routines back to back, followed by an eye popping LL Cool J finale. G'damn!
And here's a couple X-Ecutioners track to keep you familiar...
