Peep it!  N.A.S.A.’s video for “A Volta” made Pitchfork’s TOP 40 Videos of the Year list!  Great news considering it also recently won the Grand Prix at the Holland Animation Film Festival.

Ooooh wow, this is something special. The extremely talented folks over at Logan took the incredible & original artwork of The Date Farmers and brought it to vibrant life by creating an entire 8-bit, ultra-violent, drug-war-ravaged cityscape of corruption, deceit, and heavy narcotics.

The video is chock full of evil bosses, sadistic henchmen, vigilantes, important briefcases, ghetto birds and piles of cash.

Best part of it is, it’s all set to the crazy ill soundtrack provided by N.A.S.A.’s “A Volta” featuring Sizzla, Amanda Blank, & Lovefoxxx from CSS.

In a few days (December 4, 2009), Pictures on Walls will open Fiesta Resistance, “a Latin American street art showdown.” The Date Farmers play a central roll in this party and in advance of opening have released a series of prints. “Don’t Fight Back” comes in 4 colors, each in an edition of 140.

Feista Resistance also features fellow Mexico City residents Saner and Smithe. The exhibition runs through December 23, 2009, at 46 Commercial Street, London, E1.
