Dave Nada (one half of the illustrious Nadastrom) just went ahead and invented a new genre called Moombahton.  Shit, why not?!

It all went down at his little cousin’s house party when he slowed an Afrojack remix down to 108 beats per minute. Since then, he’s been making reggaeton-tempo edits of Dutch house and tropical house, and clubs have been going crazy for the stuff.

Although Nada’s the godfather of the moo, various producers/remixers have jumped in on the pig pile and it was only a matter of time until N.A.S.A. got the feel good pitched down re-rub treatment.

This one’s based off the super duper DJ Alvaro remix of the club bang-a-langah “Whachadoin?”  So so irie stylie…

Calling all you Raydahs and Gangsta Rap fans!  There’s a dope new documentary out now via ESPN’s heralded 30 for 30 series called “Straight Outta L.A.” It’s directed AND narrated than none other than Dough Boy himself Ice Cube so you know it’s realer than fuck.

It sounds like an exciting dip dive into the deep end of nostalgia as it examines the super group N.W.A. and their full on ringing endorsement of all things Raider related.  Read all about it right HERE and check out a preview where Cube asks Snoop how he felt the first time he saw the men in black coming out of that tunnel…
