Thursday, October 28th, 2010Sir Billy out of Italy(?) has some killer edits. Trust! This one’s a “corker” as he does a great job of pushing Peter Tosh out onto the dance floor with a groove so infectious you won’t even notice it’s like 15 minutes long…perfect for this strangely scorching day in late October. Burn ‘em if you got ‘em!

VIETNAM INFUSED WITH ONRA
Tuesday, October 26th, 2010This guy is from France. This guy makes the dusty beats. This guy is destroying Los Angeles right now!
Onra hails from France and his critically acclaimed dusty, neck snapping beats will have you geeking out before you know what hit you.
Here’s a trio from the album Chinoiseries that came out back in 2008. ‘Twas inspired by a trip to Vietnam in 2006 where his grandparents live. He scooped up some gems from the local shops and the rest is history.
Was fortunate enough to peep Onra at the notorious Do Over party here in Hollywood this past Sunday. He blazed it up with 2 mpc’s and some keys, bringing that funk in the drizzling rain that had everyone’s smiles nodding in synchronicity.
He’s booked solid in LA this week playing at Dam Funk’s Funkmosphere, Cinespace, and Low End Theory over the next couple of days so get out there and peep him if you get the chance!
