Got the chance to catch the mighty DJ and Squeak E. Clean homie Z-Trip last Friday night @ The Palladium here in L.A.  Needless to say the man crushed it throughout his entire set.

‘Twas complete with hits after hits, ill scratching, balloons and the incomparable Ladies Love Cool James who rocked not only mad muscle-age but all of his classic hits back to back to back to close out the show.  Things got hazy for a minute but I’m pretty sure he hurled this juggernaut at us at some point during the night.  Download and turn it up!

Since the late 1980s the Red Hot Organization has released over a dozen music compilations to help raise funds for AIDS research with help from artists as varied as George Michael, Wu-Tang Clan, Nirvana and Alice Coltrane. This year the Organization has released Red Hot + Rio 2 – a star-studded return to Brazilian shores focusing exclusively on the Tropicalia sounds of the late 1960s.

The double disc collection features songs and appearances by most of the major players of that psychedelic revolt – Os Mutantes, Tom Ze, Caetano Veloso – as well as current marquee names like Beck, of Montreal, John Legend and most importantly your boys N.A.S.A. who teamed up with Sao Paulo’s Ceu & Apollo Nove on the stand out track “It’s A Long Way“.
