As we here in the US are slowly but surely slithering into a hopefully crispy, creamy Autumn, the DJ duo Yasumo, hailing from Melbourne (AU), are just now starting to heat up.

Proof of that is in this De La Soul pudding as they put their own creative spin on the hip hop classic by infusing it with a good chunk of that disco/funk/french house flavoring.  How you doing?

Marcus Lambkin aka Shit Robot just unleashed his debut album on the world yesterday courtesy of the notoriously trust worthy DFA Records.

It’s been a long time coming for this DJ’s DJ as he’s been in the game for decades.  Shit does not dissapoint as he not so arguably drops one of the best full lengths of 2010.

SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO – IT’S THE BEAT (SHIT ROBOT REMIX)

A classic from the 1987 comeback album of the mighty Fleetwood Mac, “Big Love” gets not only the cover treatment by Montreal’s visual audiophile CFCF but a nice, laid back wobbly bass n’ noodling synth remix by the Junior Boys.  Hell yeah.

Fun doesn’t stop there though.  Oh No.  Also got an epic 6 1/2 minute piano dub of the original for your ears delight.  Long live the Mac!

FLEETWOOD MAC – BIG LOVE (PIANO DUB)

Couple refreshingly unique twists of their originals today from Keph Le Roc out of Montreal who is one half of the Muscle Brothers with DJ Nerve.  The two canucks do a great job of breathing a nice n’ modernized breeze into the Ice-T classic with the help of that somewhat snarling synthesized bass line grooving into ya like a hot knife in a cold stick of butter.

ICE-T – COLORS (MUSCLE BROTHERS REMIX)

Then Keph goes all Sanford & Son with the trash cans n’ horns route on this more light hearted take on Big L’s coming out party of a single that left jaws to be swept off the floor and necks to be snapped back in place by chiropractors all over the mapsicles back in 1995.

BIG L – PUT IT ON (KEPH LE ROC KAZA HAYA EDIT)

The mighty Belgian that is Masuka blessed us with this atomic bomb via e-mail and we couldn’t be much happier as he puts Gifted through the dub step grinder to brilliant effect.  Can you believe this shit is the first track he’s ever produced?!
