N.A.S.A. touched down in beautiful n' mischievous Seoul, Korea this past weekend for the 4th installment of The Creators Project's international events.
With the help of Big Nazo and their elaborately engaging intergalactic dancers, Sam & Ze & Fatlip brought it like it's gotta be brought and successfully tore up the salivating crowd of creative types.

A few months back, N.A.S.A. linked up with British mainstay Doc Martens to participate in their "50 Years of Doc Martens" campaign.
Squeak E. Clean and the N.A.S.A. crew were kindly asked to cover the classic reggae track "Chase the Devil" by Max Romeo for the project.
Not only did they get to do their own rendition of a legendary song, they also teamed up with music legend Don Letts who directed the amazing animated video.

Hey Oh! wanted to remind you to check out N.A.S.A.'s feature in Vice and Intel's partnership The Creators Project. The project showcases "the brightest young minds in music, art, film, and design." Featuring profiles of Diplo, Phoenix, Nick Zinner, Mark Ronson, Spike Jonze, and Chris Cunningham (amongst others), the online exhibit is merely the tip of the iceberg...
The essence of the project revolves around the global festival series that launched in New York on June 26th which included performances by N.A.S.A., M.I.A., Sleigh Bells, Interpol, Mark Ronson, Gang Gang Dance, Die Antwoord, and The Rapture. One of the many highlights of the eventful day, and our personal favorite, was when Sam got together with Mark Ronson, Donnis and Neon Indian to make a pop hit from scratch in just one hour's time using the surprisingly professional vocal stylings of one lucky audience member. With their critically acclaimed debut, The Spirit of Apollo, N.A.S.A. accomplished their goal of making a record that ignored boundaries and brought people together from totally different backgrounds.
The Big Bang (RELEASED TODAY!) furthers their love for collaboration as they extend their international embrace to well-respected and like-minded producers/remixers/DJs from all corners of the globe who manage to pick up The Spirit Of Apollo puzzle pieces and successfully infuse an entirely new & refreshing energy into the tracks in order to transform them into dance-floor-devouring meteors of mass destruction while simultaneously maintaining the integrity and inspiration of the originals.
Along with the remixes, The Big Bang contains two completely new original songs with the album’s namesake and bigger-than-life blast off “The Big Bang” followed a few tracks later by the feverishly flirtatious “I Wanna Be Your Lover”.
Remixers include Herve aka The Count of Monte Cristal, Mr. Oizo, The Ashton Shuffle, Villains, Steve Aoki, LA Riots, Treasure Fingers, DJ Chernobyl, and Mario C as well as a few remixes from the N.A.S.A. camp itself (Boombotz consists of Squeak E. Clean and Kool Kojak and Ape Shit Brothers consists of Ali Disco B and Zegon).

The mighty Belgian that is Masuka blessed us with this atomic bomb via e-mail and we couldn't be much happier as he puts Gifted through the dub step grinder to brilliant effect. Can you believe this shit is the first track he's ever produced?!
Just got back from an amazing trip to Africa where i was doing lots of recording for the new N.A.S.A. record and also the Maximum Hedrum record. Spent some time in Ethiopia hanging with Ras Congo and my new friend Israel who is Mulatu Estatke's music director. He was a good dude and really showed me the musical landscape down there.
I told him that i wanted to record some people playing traditional Ethiopian music, and not the Ethiojazz that i'm more familiar with, and he ended up taking me to this village in the south of Ethiopia where his family is from called Dorze, and i ended up staying there for a couple of days and recording the villagers there doing their local songs.
The kids got down too...
and i slept in this grass hut while i was there...
I recorded a women's choir from Soweto before leaving Joburg, too... They were the best choir i have ever worked with, and good vibes too...
