The dudes over at Pitchfork have just unveiled the premiere of the incredible video for the debut single off of N.A.S.A.’s “The Spirit of Apollo” set to hit shelves February 17th, 2009 via ANTI-.
‘Twas directed by Syd Garon and Paul Griswold and uses the iconic art of Shepard Fairey to great effect in order to reveal the ugly truth that money is indeed the root of all evil.

It’s been a minute, but I’ve been crazy finishing the record, doing remixes, flying all over the fucking world, and trying to finish this N.A.S.A. film.
I just got back last night from Brazil, where Ze and I DESTROYED the Nokia Trends festival in Sao Paulo. It was dope>> We had the full Cosmic Crew in Effect!
We put a dope Serato video set together, which we are doing for all of our N.A.S.A. shows lately…
Designed some dope new space monster costumes for the show…
Had the dopest breakdancers I’ve ever seen…
And basically just wrecked shop.
It was a dope show and a fun ass crowd>>
Bomb the Bass and Kid Sister opened up for us and our good homie Z-Trip closed out the night with a hot fire set as always>>

Me and Ze spent a couple of weeks preparing our first ever music and video set, which we killed. We edited mostly Halloween and Horror themed quicktimes that we controlled with our Serato Vinyl.> I was geeked on how things worked out considering it was our first video set..
We created this super Hesh Electro remix of John Carpenter’s Halloween Theme… Peep it>> It’s hard as fuck, so if you are not into wearing all black and worshiping Satan, you may want to skip out>>\\
After we played, AM came on and BROUGHT THE FUCKING HOUSE DOWN>> It was the first time i’d seen him since his plane crash, and i was so happy to see dude healthy and in one piece.> He went as Daft Punk for Halloween, a stroke of genius, and played all DP for the first half of his set.> i was stoked to hear him rock our N.A.S.A. .. His set was so crazy, and people were so stoked to see him healthy and rocking, that it ended up being the illest performance of HARD.>
Otherwise, things have been crazy.> I just finished the Final Final song (I promise) for the N.A.S.A. record featuring Kanye, Santogold, and Lykke Li! It’s my favorite song on the record!
A day after mixing the song, i went str8 to mastering it with Big Bass Brian, and now, finally, WE ARE 100% DONE WITH THE RECORD AFTER ALMOST 6 FUCKING YEARS!!! I’m really proud of this record and can’t wait to get it out to the world!
Right now, i’m in Costa Rica on a surfing safari, so i’m going to sign off to get some sleep>

Only 1 day left! Tomorrow brings the apocalypse as heshers, weirdos, hipsters, and zombies abound will march towards the grounds of the Shrine Expo Hall for the HARD Haunted Mansion. Shit’s SOLD OUT!
Best of all, the kids you know and love long time, N.A.S.A. will be killing the living dead with a monstrous live DJ set starting at 9 in the P.M. at the Expo Stage. They’re gonna have crazy live visuals being chopped n’ screwed to match their set. All the horror classics bumpin’ n’ grindin’ along to the beats!
As a special treat they plan on debuting their sick new remix of the classic Halloween theme, Michael’s Revenge. Keep an eye out for that at this here blog in the near future.
