Maximum Hedrum’s video for their electrifying 2nd single “Synthesize” is set to debut soon and we are mother fu#*ing turnt up about it!

The video is in collaboration with our good homies at Girl and Chocolate whose latest movie “Pretty Sweet” features the track in the incredibly bad ass intro to the film. Maximum Hedrum, the new project from producer, composer, director, and DJ Sam Spiegel today unveiled a remix of the group’s first single “Keep In Touch”. Remixed by N.A.S.A., the “Keep In Touch (N.A.S.A. Art of Boogie Remix)” is available for purchase now HERE.  Maximum Hedrum’s unique electronic-funk hybrid features Sam Spiegel, the vocals of Derrick Green from the seminal heavy metal band Sepultura, and renowned German musician and producer Harold Faltermeyer, and examines the way our lives are changing through advancements in technology and the Internet.  The group’s self-titled debut is due out on March 5th 2013 via Spectrophonic Sound.

The Maximum Hedrum project was instigated by Spiegel’s feelings on the advancements of technology and the resulting impact on our lives.  “It was a feeling I had to express,” he said.  “I really wanted to examine the interconnectedness and isolation this shift has brought… and the desperation that fills the Internet.” After numerous experimental late night studio sessions with longtime friend and Sepultura vocalist Derrick Green in Sao Paulo, Brazil the project was officially born.

Heavily rooted in danceable electro-funk with classic synth textures, the album’s single “Keep In Touch” is a thumping psychedelic offering that features additional vocals from George Clinton.  The song will also be featured in the upcoming Girl Skateboards film Pretty Sweet.  From start to finish, the album is a genuine genre-melding ride.

Maximum Hedrum will kick off 2013 with a live residency at Los Globos in Los Angeles, performing on January 14th, 21st, and 28th.  The band will also appear at Austin’s South By Southwest in March.  Stay tuned for additional live dates to be announced as well as an array of music videos, special mixtapes, additional remixes, and more.

Today is the motherfucking day.  The premiere of Pretty Sweet.  The next chapter in the amazing portfolio of super homies Ty Evans & Spike Jonze.  The anticipation is killing us so we’re spending the day waxing nostalgic.  Here’s a classic clip from the barn burner “Yeah Right!” featuring rhymes by Fat Lip & Chali 2na, beats by Sam, and devious mischief by everyone’s favorite magic board.
