The 3rd Annual Adicup Cup soccer was held July 12, 2008 at Crossroads Park in Santa Monica. 20 teams from across Los Angeles completed for this year’s title, including Team Squeak E. Clean. The event featured food, drinks, andDJ King Britt provided the soundtrack throughout the day.

The highlight of the day was playing against Vinnie Jones and his team The Hollywood All-Stars. It was a physical game and I mean really physical game. Vinnie did his signature “Grab the nuts” trick on me. Yes… Vinnie Jones grabbed my nuts. Weird! Later in the game, I got my revenge when I pushed Vinnie and told told him to “Fuck Off” after he elbowed my teammate in the head. The crowd went wild. Karma would soon catch up with Vinnie, when he got denied at point-blank range by our goalie. He looked like an idiot and everyone in the crowd laughed at him. The next game Vinnie was kick out of the tournament after apparently wanting to fight the referee.

I’m glad he didn’t squeeze my nuts. Just cupped them.

We ending the tournament on a high note winning our last match 3-1. Although we didn’t advance to the second round, we still had a great time. We may not have won the tournament, but we sure won best style.
